Bryn Chandra Coleman (1988-2024) was a proud graduate of the Rutgers Classics Department, where he completed his Senior thesis on “The Roman Influences on Food in Britain.” For Bryn, the ancient world was very real, and he enjoyed sharing foods and stories from this era with his friends. His love of antiquity extended from Paleolithic times to the classical Greek and Roman eras of his studies. Bryn had a passion for Tolkien and mythology, a tremendous sense of humor, and a true gusto for life. He was also a prolific writer and leaves behind several manuscripts, including a historical trilogy set in the Paleolithic era when humans and Neanderthals coexisted. Bryn had a deep love of travel and during his time at Rutgers enjoyed many archaeological adventures.
To honor his memory, our family would like to give similar opportunities to Rutgers undergraduates who share Bryn’s passion for the ancient world. For information on applying, scroll down.
