Project Theophrastus holds conference in Waterloo Canada

Project Theophrastus held a conference on the Peripatetic philosopher Critolaus of Phaselis, second century BCE, at the Institute for Hellenistic Studies in Waterloo Canada on September 28-30, 2018. Eight papers were presented:David Hahm, “Overview of the Testimonia”; Tiziano Dorandi, “Further Testimonia”; Robert Mayhew, “Critolaus on God and Providence”; Oliver Hellmann,” The Political and Diplomatic Embassy to Rome”; Jan Szaif, “Peripatetic Theories of Oikeiosis”; Stefan Schorn, “History and Politics in Critolaus;” Maria Cristina Fimiani and Gianluca Del Maestro, “The Papyri on Critolaus”; Yossie Liebersohn, “Critolaus and Rhetoric”. The proceedings will be published in Rutgers University Studies in Classical Humanities (RUSCH) vol. 22.
