Undergraduate Classics at Rutgers

General Information

The Undergraduate Program offers a major in Classics with concentrations in Ancient Greek, Latin, Ancient Greek and Latin, and Classical Humanities. Minor programs of study are offered in Ancient Greek, Latin, and Classical Humanities.

The Undergraduate Director is Corey Brennan .

High School Teaching

Are you interested in a career teaching high school Latin? Link to the Graduate School of Education for information about the teacher education programs at Rutgers. These programs require a liberal arts major. Students receive a B.A. degree at the end of the fourth year and continue for a fifth year to earn a master's degree in education and a recommendation for certification to the State.
