Brian Mumper

Originally from Connecticut, Brian spent a year overseas studying Classics at Lady Margaret Hall at the University of Oxford and received BA in Classics from Cornell University (Senior Honors Thesis on The DÄ“mos' Affect on the Speech and Action of Leading Public Figures in Thucydides). Currently in PhD program in Classics at Rutgers University and writing a dissertation on Narrative strategies and Moral Outlook in the works of Sallust. His research interests include Greek and Roman historiography, Apollonius Rhodius, Vergil and Lucan, and Latin Satire.
